Elimination Communication - Working towards a diaper-free baby

Infants are very intelligent and sensitive beings. They let their caregivers know when and how to meet their basic survival needs, including elimination.
Since the arrival of disposal diapers in 1961, parents have been lead to believe that babies are incapable of letting their caregivers know when they need to eliminate. Inspired by traditional practices of diaper-less baby care in less industrialized countries and hunter-gatherer cultures; elimination communication (EC), diaper-free or natural infant hygiene emphasizes communication between the caregiver and child, helping them both to become more attuned to the child's innate rhythms and elimination needs. By developing a deeper connection with your baby, you will not only be saving money and the environment, you will also feel more rewarded as a parent knowing you are tuning in to ALL your baby’s needs.

Come and join us in learning about this ancient old practice; learn how to develop a diaper free practice that works for you and baby. Babies can begin practicing EC at any age.

This group meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, January 26, February 23, March 22, April 26
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Attendance by donation ($5 suggested).  Babies of all ages are welcome.
